This medication has given me hope that I never thought I’d have. For the first time in my life I’m not spending half of my day obsessing over food, looking in the mirror, and feeling guilty. Such a freeing feeling.
Inspiration from @caleysvensson
Weight loss can be a complicated and windy road. It's often not linear and unclear and can be difficult to navigate alone.
Asking for help is not only ok, but NORMAL and welcomed!
There is no harm in needing help from medication. @caleysvensson gained so much from using Mounjaro. It allowed her to quiet those loud, relentless thoughts and gave her the freedom to participate in life again.
PCOS and Mounjaro - My Success Story
Since I hit puberty, I have been struggling with my weight. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 18 and the most I have ever weighed was around 180 lbs. I tried everything I could to lose weight, dieting and going to the gym, but I did not see any results. I was really frustrated with how easily other people were able to lose weight compared to me. I started taking metformin and was able to lose about 25 lbs with it, but I gained the weight back due to other medications I was on.
But then I switched to Mounjaro a few months back and I now weigh 130 lbs. I literally can't believe it. I'm now only 10lbs away from my goal weight.
I wanted to share this to give hope to anyone suffering from PCOS who feels like they will never be able to lose weight.
At the start of the year I weighed about 310 pounds. Since then, I lost 50 pounds, but the scale hasn’t moved in 3 months. My PCP also said that if my cholesterol levels don't improve by my next visit, I'll need to go on medications. After seeing all of these success stories, I'm hopeful that Mounjaro will work for me.
I ended up going through Sequence to get a prescription and I was able to use the savings card with no issues.
Just wanted to share my journey so far, and say that I think this community is going to help me feel less alone in it.
Hi everyone! I’m just finishing up my first three weeks on Mounjaro 2.5. I’ve previously been on Ozempic and didn’t see very many changes. At the end of week 3 I’m down 5 pounds!
I’ve been learning to make better food choices and using MyFitnessPal to track my macros. I'm pumped that this is finally working for me.
I was super nervous about getting my first refill. I picked up 2.5 at Walgreens last month. I used the print out from this site without any issues and they auto applied the coupon so it was super easy.
The second time around Alpha sent over my Rx early. I kept getting notifications that there was an insurance issue. Today I was finally 24 days from my last pick up. I tried to call but was on hold forever so I just went in with print out and coupon in hand. They said my insurance didn’t cover and I told them I knew that but I had a savings card. I handed him my print out and the pharmacist happened to walked by at the same time. He typed it all in and it went through!! Fairly easy/pain free besides all the worry and waiting.
My doctor won’t prescribe me Mounjaro. Help please
My doc said it was only recently FDA approved for diabetes and not weight loss so she couldn’t prescribe it to me (I’m not diabetic). This was her note after asking someone else about it, “It is only FDA approved for diabetes right now & not weight loss. It is not recommended to send it for weight loss and insurance would deny it as well for this indication.”
What do I do?
What is the best day to inject?
What was the best day for injection, in your opinion? I know everyone is different, but just curious what people typically do.
I am going abroad for a month so I will need to pack two doses with me. Does anyone have experience traveling with Mounjaro?
Can I have alcohol while on Mounjaro?
How does alcohol effect you now that you started mounjaro?
I’m finally picking up my Mounjaro prescription today! I’ve struggled with my weight since I was a teenager, I’m so excited to start this journey. Any advice on how to maximize results? I’m about 50 lbs over my normal weight. Any potential weird side effects anyone has gotten? Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Yay I finally got the prescription by using the instructions on this site. Can't wait to get started!
How do you all keep track of your progress?
I'm new to Mounjaro and I want to start keeping track of my progress. Do you use apps? Spreadsheets? Thanks!
Can I take Mounjaro if I've had bariatric surgery?
I had bariatric surgery about 5 years ago now, and after initial success, the weight is slowly starting to creep back. Am I eligible to take tirzepatide? I'm hoping it can help me. Thanks!
I wanted to share my experience since it was helpful reading others experiences when I first got started. My starting dose was 2.5mg. Bumping up to 5mg next week. I started with some lethargy and constipation but otherwise feeling ok 🤞🏻
I used the Push app to secure my RX & refill. I had blood work done in advance. I used the guide on this site to fill the prescription at Walgreens. Be very patient with your pharmacy tech when using the coupon.
Where did you inject on your first time?
Curious to know as I'm a bit nervous.
I’m considering this medication. I’m considered overweight and also have high blood pressure, highs cholesterol, and was just diagnosed with mild fatty liver. I want to try Alpha or Push but don’t want to be denied. I’ve used Rybelsus in the past with success. Ozempic didn’t work for me, nor did Contrave.
Finally Ended My Battle With Weight Loss
I'm very happy with Mounjaro. It helped me loose 10 pounds over the last 7 weeks. My appetite has decreased significantly. I was addicted to eating junk foods, but with Mounjaro I learned to make better dietary choices because otherwise my stomach can't handle it.
I want to add back exercise because I enjoy doing Orangetheory, but with how little I'm eating I don't want to overdo it.
